This new ADU was built from the ground up to serve as both a guest space and a pool house for a Pasadena property. The project required full site preparation, new utilities, and a complete foundation before construction began. Working from the architect’s layout, the Casa Bonita Team refined tile selections, cabinet details, and fixture choices to shape a clean and inviting interior. A custom herringbone feature wall adds character to the bath, and a creative built-in bookcase doubles as a ladder leading to a compact loft above. Along the pool-facing elevation, a dramatic twenty-two-foot Fleetwood sliding door opens the entire living space to the outdoors, creating an easy flow between the ADU and the pool. A playful surfboard shower completes the exterior, giving the project a relaxed, Southern California feel.
